Out for 7 mile road run 2 weeks ago.
A couple weeks ago I decided I wanted better photos of the engine on its wheels out in daylight. Still a lot of work left before it’s ready to steam but getting much closer. It looks better in the sun
Well – here we go then! Something I never thought I would be saying but between myself, my wife and my grandfather we are going to build a 6″ Foden C type.
Ive included some photos of the paint process mainly lining and the top coats to show what kind of finish you can get with a brush and lots and lots of patience.
Today on this wonderful day I managed to get the engine out of the workshop, the first time in almost the two years that I have been building it (ordered at Dorset 2018).
Having visited the GDSF on a number of occasions and greatly enjoyed all the full size and smaller engines on display I have taken the plunge and embarked on building a STW Burrell and being seduced by the line up
