Let us hand build your engine
We have had many enquiries from enthusiasts who would love a steam engine of their own but do not have the time or skills (or both) to build their own engine. So in answer to this Steam Traction World can now offer a fully built engine service

All engines are built with the greatest care and attention to detaill, taken direct from Steam Traction World kits, parts are individually hand finished for a perfect fit.
The engine will come complete with a 12 month steam certificate so it's ready to rally (with appropriate insurance) when it is delivered to your door.

It is your choice of colour the engine is painted. We only use Craftmaster paints throughout as they are of the highest quality and have been tried and tested on many of the best full sized engines. We apply a minimum of 5 coats of paint (two primer undercoats and three gloss topcoats) along with laquers and lining. This ensures that there is a good thickness of paint as such cherished engines receive a lot of cleaning and polishing - any less paint would rub through in a year or two!
When the engine is complete we can deliver it to you or you can collect and we will include half a days training on how to steam and run your engine. Although they can appear complex and a mystery how they work, you will soon settle into steaming and driving the engine with ease. The kits that Steam Traction World produce are a joy to drive and have covered many trouble-free miles throughout the country, appeared at rallies and won numerous awards - Why not join us?
